Summer Practice Tips
Our spring recital is just around the corner, and then we will be enjoying a much-deserved summer. But with the much looser schedule of summer, don’t let your music progress suffer! Make a plan now to keep up your momentum so that you can continue to grow musically over the summer. Here are some tips to keep you on track!
Keep a practice log.
With summer’s longer days and looser schedules, it helps to log your practice to help hold yourself accountable for your practice time.
Set a goal (but keep it real).
We love goals! Setting a musical goal is always a great way to progress. But with summers being full of fun and adventure, try to keep your goal within reach. A great goal is to continue to practice every single day! Another is to master a new song over the summer!
Keep up with your basics!
Don’t forget to practice your basics! Scales and vocal exercises are SO important. Be sure to incorporate them into your schedule!
