Dee Dee Chandler

Have you heard of Edward “Dee Dee” Chandler? Dee Dee was a New Orleans drummer during the early 1900s. He is largely credited with being one of the first drummers to use a makeshift pedal to beat on the bass drum with his foot, freeing his hands to play the snare drum! From this humble beginning, we now have the amazing drum sets we see on stages around the world today!
